Would the world collapse without me?

Feeling: irked :|
Listening to: AFI - Cruise Control
Avoiding: Everyone ._.

I just need to vent some issues, so I sincerly apologise in advance for the whiney, angry, angsty hipocritical rant(s).

Rant#1
My personal bubble has been burst, leaving me covered with cold, sticky, soapy residue; and a severe lack of space.
Ever since my brother and his girlfriend, their two birds and their two cats have moved back in (they had 'issues' with the rental agency) It's been kind of chaotic (in the nicest terms) She's alway everywhere! @_@ She's okay in small doses but for weeks on end... I don't think I'll be able to take it again... Not only that, but one of my estranged Aunts has suddenly decided to be an infuence on my life. I can count the number of times I've seen her in my life on my hands. So, now shes coming over and helping my dad with work, which means that she is constantly everywhere. I feel like locking myself in my room until they both go away... or until I get hungry.

Rant#2
I f*sking hate kids. I really really loathe them. I wish their faces would explode all over their nice neat uniforms. Especially highschoolers, since I was stuck on a buss-load of them this 'arvo. I know its hipocritcal to say this, since not two years ago I too was one of them. But damnit~! Maybe I'm just paranoid but everytime I hear them laughing I swear they're laughing at me. (This may have been just because I was dressed like a pirate at the time, but I still get those nasty highschool flashbacks where everyone laughs at you and call you bad things) Foo. Kids suck. =|

Rant#3
I have two glorious days off uni without the stress and doom of assignments, and then BOOM! Welcome back kiddies, you've got 6 more things to hand in by the end of next week. Aaaahhhh! So the real question is: Why arn't I doing them instead of writing this blog? Because I thought I would implode with the bubbling vat of emotions. So there! xP I'm done.

Supanova Sillyness (its a long post!)

Feeling:
Eating: Tic Tacs I found in my room.
Listening to: Gastons Theme - Beauty and the Beast
As some of you may know, the annual Brisbane geek-gathering (aka 'Supanova') was on the 13th-15th of April. I once again, decided to volunteer (and cosplay) this year. Cosplaying was mostly fun. On Saturday I went as Jessica from Dragon Quest VIII, but not many people recognised me. On Sunday I cosplayed as Meg Griffin from family guy, more perople recognised me but they weren't quite sure if I was actully cosplaying or if it was just a coincidence. I will eventually post many pictures of mine and other's costumes soon. Being a volunteer also had its pros and cons.

Pros:

Free Entry (you get to walk past all the big queues and laugh at the peoples!)
Free Lunch
Free Shirt and Lanyard (all volunteers get these)
Not too much work (Hopefully, and that it's not too tricky)
Free mooched items (caps, posters, shirts, ect - all given away by the vendors to the volunteers)
Authority and the power to control the masses (Muahahaharr!)
Cons:
Getting a bad job (it's rather like a lucky dip, you never know what you get to do)
Getting bad shift times (This is really irritating if you wanted to see something, and end up missing it)
Working with really really irritating people
Being sore and achey afterwards
Papercuts from stuffing showbags ;-;

Honestly though, I didn't think it was as good this year. The stalls were pretty average, the guests wern't anything too special, and the showbags were lousy. The job I was given was 'RESERVE' which meant if someone couldn't (or didn't) turn up for their shift then I had to do it. When I didn't have anything to do, I was told to wait in the volunteers area until I was needed. This meant that I did a lot of sitting around doing nothing (it beats standing up doing nothing). I went and 'crowd controled' for two voice actors from Naruto (Saske and Tamari) for a while, which wasn't too bad. The only real bad thing was that I had an 'Obsessive Comic Nerd' (more on my labling of various geek and nerd types to come in a later post) working on shift with me. He wanted me to buy some Spiderman or Wonder Worman comics, or to play the new Naruto trading cards with him. He just kept going on, and on, and on about them and I couldn't get him to stop. So I eventually ended up hiding in the Madman Anime Theater to escape.

I also (for the first time) made it to the Kamehameha Bastoff Competition. In which people shred their lungs apart, trying to perform the best Kamehameha and entertain the audience. It was a jolly good rip-roaring riot. No, seriously. It really almost became a riot. Someone cosplayed as one of the boxes from Evangelion; 01 SEELE SOUND ONLY, if you've seen it you'll know what I mean. Anyway, the box was very popular, but unfortunatly didn't make it past Round 3. Along comes the Final Round. When the organisers aked the audience to decide the winner everyone cheered "BOX! BOX! BOX! WE WANT THE BOX!! BRING BACK THE BOX!!" This went on for quite a while with well over a hundred people stomping and shouting. For a moment there, I really felt sorry for the poor organisers. Eventually they consulted with the other finalists and caved into the insistant cheers and gave the winning prize to the box. Everyone cheered again and then went home.

Shouting for the magical black box was not my only highlight, I caught a thief! (and got a pretty nice reward) Someone nicked a 2 foot tall cardbord cut-out of Dr. Who, thinking that it was free along with the piles of posters the vendor was handing out. Upon noticing it was missing, the vendor said they would give a prize to the one who brought the picture back. (it was late Sunday afternoon and they were starting to pack up) I had seen the culprit not a minute ago showing it off to his friend, so I quickly ran after him.
"Halt theif!" I demanded, he must've heard me because he started running. I ran after him, dodging the cosplayers and small children left and right. He turned suddenly and skidded on the smooth concrete floor, knocking over a display of Spawn Figurines. I knew that was my moment. Leaping inches into the air I screamed as I tacked him to the ground.
"THIEF! That is not yours! It must be returned immedietly!" I shouted as I wrestled the Dr.Who cut-out from his desperate clawing hands.
"Nooooo! My presssccioussss!" the thief hissed at me. I detangled from this clammy grasp and stood above him.
"Stealing is wrong!" I said strikling a dramtic pose, before fleeing back to the vendor with my recovered loot.
"Oh thankyou kind stranger!" The vendor said gratefully, "As a reward I give you +400exp, The Swift Boots of the Badger+30SPD, and a Sonic Screwdriver." And another quest had been completed in my journal.

Okay, so thats not exactly how it happened, but fact is that I sill got my Sonic Screwdriver, which I am so proud of. Heehee heeheehee. Stealing is wrong. All in all, Supanova was fun, but I'm just glad that it's now Supanover, (haha Oh what an awful pun!) I'm also glad that it only happens once a year (unless I go to Sydney, which I probably won't).

Ehh, I told you it was a long post - pictures will come soon.

Disgaea 2 - Filling the void in my soul

Feeling:Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Eating:The remnants of easter eggs
Listening to: Poirot in the next room (my dad got the box set for christmas so he's going though them one at a time)

Recently a friend of mine at uni was using his l33t pursuasion skillz on me, and convinced me that I should hunt down a rare-nay legendary game called 'Disgaea 2' and that it was impossible to find and i'd have to import, and it would be really expensive and it was never realesed in Australia, so i'd only find it on like e-bay and its like totally freaking awesome, and I'd have to play it, but deep down I knew I never would.
The next day, I went to EB and just for the hell of it asked if they had the game. The girl at the counter said 'sure I think we've got one in the back'
i was like OMFGWTFWHAAAATBBQLOLZGEHEEEHH??!!!!1 I literally was dancing around the store like a drunk Crono.

I may sound n00bish but I must type it in caps and bold for you to fully understand the magnitude:
THIS GAME IS AWESOME!
and I'm only up to chapter 5...

Its about a guy called Adell whose family has been cursed and turned into demons by the overlord of all demons Lord Zenon (oooh) so you have to defeat him and turn everyone back to being normal. BUT when your mother tries to summon him, something goes wrong and you end up summoning his bratty, spoilt daughter Rozalind who has spent her luxurious life locked in a mansion and never going outside. SO being the hero you promise to return her to her father and then kill him. You meet some real weirdos along the way; like a b-grade moviestar that eveyone thinks is dead; a ninja with the habit of saying zam; a sleezy, french, enchanted, schizophrenic frog (I <3 Tink). The story isn't just what makes this game though. It's everything. (or maybe I'm just horribly biased) Example: a health replenishing item called: "Charred Newt" -description: It didn't get better. Teehee. Teeheehee. Teeheeheehee (snortgiggle) Any game that references Monty Python is instantly a hit in my eyes.

Anyway I hope you get the picture, I wont bore you with any more of my flagrant boasting and mindless praise. Go get it yourself, and prove me wrong.

In other news...

Feeling:Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Eating: Hot Cross Buns
Listening to: Kiochi Sugiyama- Fly me to the Heavens -Dragon Quest VIII OST

I hate kids. They're smelly, loud, sticky, and they spit. BUT before I start a whiney rant about animals- I got contacts! Like for the eyes, not the people-kind... eew. The're just normal, clear, contacts lenses; and I don't really like wearing them much. Well I don't like putting any foreign objects into my eyes, and then poking them. ikk. I'm still under the influence (lol) that they'll make me look nicer than my current rednblackplastic emo glasses. Although, if I could the pattern-type contacts I'd wanna get like a goats-eye. With a horizontal pupil. That'd be wicked.

This website has heaps of custom contacts, but they only ship to the US and canada :C http://www.cosplaylab.com/proshop/immortaleyes.asp

I also think my moniter is slowly dying. The whole screen has turned a cyan sort-of colour. The funny thing is, that the exact same thing happend to my last moniter, except it went magenta. Blue is much more calming, so I don't mind it too much.

Oh! And everyone MUST ckeck out my pwnsome uni assesment, It's a ripple effect like a disco dancemat. I made the cube, and gave it a glassy surface in Maya and then I put it all together in aftereffects. I'm so proud of myself ^^ CLICK MEEEE TO WATCH TEH COOL MOVIE!!!11!

What was lost, now is found.

Well folks I've done it again, I've started another blog, but this time I am going to keep it moderatly updated. (I promise!)

In other news my brother Michael dissapeared last night. Aparently he and his girlfriend had a big fight and she told him to get out, and go home. But he didn't come home, infact no one knew where he went. So she called the police, cause she was worried he might do something drastic; and guess who answered the door? My mother. Now, my mother is a rather nervous person. She constantly worried over the smallest thing. So when, at 2 am in the morning the doorbell rings and it's the police, can you imagine what would have gone through her mind?

Anyway, I missed this whole ordeal. I was sleeping. When I woke up, I heard my mother crying and I thought 'what's she crying about? It's too early for mum to be upset' So I sneaked into Josephs room and asked him. He just said 'Oh hey beth, Mike's gone missing. I think he and Morrigan had a fight or something.' Not two seconds later, Michael walks through the door.
'Oh' I said. 'There he is.'

Aparently he stayed in the church down the road, (they don't have locks on the windows, and they have those little kneel-y mattresses so he slept on those) because he didn't want to wake my parents up and worry them further. My mum is still a wreck, Morrigan threatened to send a hit-man after him if he did that again. (I'm not sure when she jokes any more) and now they have just both left to go to a relationship councellor.

She told her side of the story to a friend, and he said that if Michael turned up there he'd beat the shit out of him before he sent him back.

I want her to leave. I really really want her to leave. I want imigration to pack her up back into the box she came in, and for her to go back to LA and never darken our sandy shores again. Maybe I'm being to harsh. But she scares me. I don't like that she scares Michael too.

Anyway, before this becomes a whiney rant about 'her'; I'm just happy he's back. And that he went to church (the first time in a long time).
